What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist originally developed as a medication for managing diabetes and has been studied and proven to help non-diabetic people lose weight.  It works by increasing insulin levels in your body which in turn lowers your blood sugar. It also works by mimicking the hormone responsible for sending signals of satiety (fullness) to the brain making it a powerful appetite suppressant. Semaglutide prolongs digestion, helping to maintain a feeling of fullness for a longer period. This weekly FDA-approved injection is a great tool to help clients that have weight-related concerns live an elevated lifestyle.

What you’ll receive with this program:

To ensure we are offering the most personalized experience to our clients, The Invigory also offers Tirzepatide – a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. Like Semaglutide, it is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and weight loss. As a slightly stronger medication, it may be received better than Semaglutide for some clients. Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of the semaglutide program is $300 per month which includes once weekly injections. A commitment of 3 months is required as it takes about 4-5 weeks for the medication to reach a steady level in the body, which is also when clients typically report consistent weight loss.

While everyone is different with regards to body composition and hormones, studies report people who received weekly semaglutide injections lost an average of 5.9% total body weight at 3 months and 10.9% total body weight at 6 months.

This service is ideal for those looking to lose 15-30 lbs.

According to a recent study, semaglutide weight loss is effective in many areas, especially the stomach, and can help lose belly fat.

Most of your diet should be made up of lean protein and low glycemic index (GI) carbohydrates as both of these types of foods can also contribute towards you feeling more satisfied for longer.   High-glycemic fruits like pineapple and bananas as well as high-glycemic veggies and starches should be reduced when taking semaglutide.

Semaglutide can be associated with gastrointestinal reactions, including nausea, diarrhea, bloating, vomiting, and abdominal pain.  These are most noted in the first day or two after increasing a dose or after consuming a high-fat, high sugar meal.  Titrating your semaglutide dose, using the lowest effective dose, can help decrease side effects as well.

It takes about 4-5 weeks for the medication to reach a consistent level in the body, which is also when clients typically report consistent weight loss.

Bloodwork is important to ensure that semaglutide can be safely prescribed. We accept lab work if completed within the last year and can also direct you to a self-service lab.

If you’ve been on semaglutide for several months, your body has started to work more efficiently.  Once stopping, the lifestyle habits you’ve developed will help in weight management success.  Healthy habits include regular exercise including weight-bearing activities, avoiding high fat and simple carbohydrate foods, and getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Semaglutide is a once a week injection given in the studio by one of our licensed nurses.

Candidates eligible to use semaglutide for weight loss have a body mass index of 27 or higher and no history of gallstones, pancreatitis, type 1 diabetes, or risk factors for medullary thyroid cancer.

The Infrared Sauna, our Detox Flush IV Therapy Drip AND Compression Therapy will all help to detoxify and eliminate toxins; our Gut Health IV Therapy Drip reduces nausea (a common side effect of Semaglutide), our Metabolism Booster IV Therapy boosts the effectiveness of Semaglutide.

Red Light Photomodulation Therapy (also known as Low-Level Light Therapy or LLLT) can be a great addition to your weight loss journey for tightening skin and improving overall skin health. Here’s how it helps:

Collagen Production: Red light therapy stimulates fibroblasts in the skin, which are responsible for collagen production. Increased collagen helps maintain skin elasticity and firmness, which can be particularly useful as you lose weight.

Skin Tone and Texture: The therapy can improve skin texture and tone by promoting healing and reducing inflammation, leading to a smoother and more even complexion.

Cell Regeneration: It can enhance cellular repair and regeneration, supporting the skin as it adjusts to changes in your body.

Regular sessions, combined with a healthy diet and hydration, can help maximize the benefits of red light therapy. Always consult with a professional to ensure it’s suitable for your skin type and weight loss plan.

If you’re feeling tired and looking to complement your weight loss injections, adding one of these injectables might help boost your energy and support your overall wellness:

B12: Essential for energy production and can help reduce fatigue. It supports red blood cell formation and neurological function.

Carnitine: Helps with the transport of fatty acids into cells to be burned for energy, potentially aiding in both weight loss and energy levels.

Taurine: Known for its role in energy production and overall cellular function. It can support endurance and reduce fatigue.

Lipo-mino-C: A combination of amino acids, vitamins, and nutrients that may help with metabolism and energy, while also supporting fat loss.

Be sure to consult with a healthcare provider to determine which option might be best for your specific needs and to ensure that these supplements are safe and appropriate for you.

If you’re feeling bloated, you’re not alone! A Gut Health IV drip could be a beneficial option. These IV drips are designed to support digestion and overall gut health. Here’s how they can help:

Hydration: IV drips provide immediate hydration, which can help alleviate bloating caused by dehydration.

Nutrient Support: They deliver essential vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream, including those that support digestive health, such as magnesium (which can help with constipation) and B vitamins (important for overall digestive function).

Electrolyte Balance: Maintaining proper electrolyte levels can help reduce bloating and improve fluid balance in the body.

Detoxification: Our gut health IV drips include ingredients that support detoxification, helping to reduce bloating caused by digestive waste or imbalances.

Anti-Inflammatory Components: Ingredients like vitamin C and glutathione can help reduce inflammation and improve gut health.

Before opting for an IV drip, it’s a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider to ensure it’s appropriate for your specific situation and to address any underlying issues contributing to bloating. Additionally, consider combining this treatment with dietary adjustments and other lifestyle changes for optimal gut health.

Strength-based training can be highly effective and safe while taking GLP-1 receptor agonists, but it’s important to consider how the medication might impact your exercise routine. Here’s what to keep in mind:

Benefits of Strength-Based Training

Muscle Preservation: Strength training helps maintain or increase muscle mass, which is especially important if weight loss is a goal of your GLP-1 medication.

Metabolism Boost: Building muscle can enhance your resting metabolic rate, which supports overall weight management.

Improved Strength and Function: Regular resistance exercises improve overall strength, endurance, and functional fitness.

Considerations While on GLP-1 Medications

Monitor Energy Levels: GLP-1 medications can sometimes cause fatigue or decreased energy levels. Adjust your workout intensity and duration based on how you’re feeling.

Hydration: Ensure you’re staying well-hydrated, as GLP-1 medications can impact hydration levels, and dehydration can affect performance and recovery.

Nutritional Intake: GLP-1 medications can suppress appetite, which might lead to reduced food intake. Ensure you’re consuming enough protein and calories to support muscle repair and growth. Consider consulting with a nutritionist to balance your diet with your strength training goals.

Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how your body responds to both the medication and your exercise routine. Adjust your workouts if you
